Croxton is located between Spencer Street and Stott Street, with station access from both.

The station consists of two side platforms; Platform 1 has a large brick building, while platform 2 has a smaller brick building. A large Metcard ticket vending machine is located at the entrance to platform 1, which is able to dispense most ticketing options available and also accept notes and coins. A small coin-only Metcard ticket vending machine is located at the entrance to platform 2.

Tram routes 86 and 112 are both short walks from the station, on High Street and St Georges Road respectively.

History

Croxton station opened on 8 October 1889.[1] It is one of only three stations on the electrified Melbourne network to have an 'x' in its name (the others being Box Hill and Roxburgh Park).
